Syllabus and Exam Pattern for IPMAT Indore

IPMAT Indore is considered the most challenging of the IPMAT exams, primarily due to its syllabus and exam format.
The IPMAT Indore syllabus exclusively comprises Higher Mathematics, which is the subject matter of classes 11 and 12. Furthermore, there is a minimum sectional cutoff. In order to be eligible for the Personal Interview round, you must pass the cutoff for each section and achieve a minimum total score (including all three sections), irrespective of your overall score.

Because the examination is divided into three 40-minute sections, it lasts for two hours. The Examination Pattern for the IPMAT is as follows:

Please be advised:

1. The IPMAT Indore exam does not include a logical reasoning component. The IPMAT Indore QA (MCQ) section consists of five questions regarding data interpretation or a series of logical puzzles in lieu of questions regarding logical reasoning. Analyze previous IPMAT papers to determine the types of questions that are asked on subjects such as linear arrangements, games, and tournaments.
2. IPMAT Indore is the sole examination that includes a sectional cutoff for admission to IIM Indore.
3. To complete the SA (Short Answer) section, please enter your response in the box provided below. Negative markings are absent from this section.
4. Furthermore, this examination encompasses advanced mathematics from classes 11 and 12.
5. The cutoff for the IPMAT Indore exam is approximately 50% of the total marks for students in the General category and even lower for students in the SC, ST, PwD, EWS, and OBC categories due to the exam’s increased difficultly. Nevertheless, it is recommended that general category students receive approximately 60% of the possible points to ensure their safety.
6. The IPMAT Indore exam has a 40-minute time limit for each section; you are unable to proceed to the subsequent section until the current one has been completed.

Eligibility Criteria for IPMAT Indore

For an applicant to be eligible for the IPMAT examination, they must meet the minimum eligibility criteria. I am providing the following definition of the IPMAT Indore eligibility:

• A minimum percentage of 60% is required in classes 10 and 12 for General/EWS/OBC category students and 55% for SC/ST/PwD candidates in order to be eligible to take the IPMAT Indore exam.
• IPMAT Indore Age Criteria: A General/OBC/EWS student’s maximum age is 20 years. The maximum age for a SC/ST/PwD candidate is 25 years, as per the IPMAT Indore age criteria.

Selection Process for IPMAT Indore

The selection process for the IPM Indore Exam consists of two stages: Stage 1 is an aptitude test, and Stage 2 is a personal interview.:-

IPMAT Indore Admission Stage 1 (Aptitude test): Candidates will be required to participate in an aptitude test as part of the IPMAT selection process. This test will evaluate the candidate’s English proficiency and aptitude. In order to advance to Stage 2, which is the Personal Interview Round, candidates must achieve a minimum cutoff mark established by the Institute for the relevant year.

Stage 2 (Personal Interview): Candidates who demonstrate proficiency in the aptitude test will be granted an opportunity to participate in a personal interview. The Interview evaluates the confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills, and knowledge of the students. Admission committee serves as the administrator of this.

For students in the General, EWS, and NC-OBC categories, the application fee for IPMAT Indore is approximately Rs. 4130/- (Rupees four thousand one hundred thirty only), inclusive of GST.
