The IPMAT (Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test) is the primary entrance exam for the five-year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) at IIM Rohtak. After successfully passing the highly competitive IPMAT Rohtak exam, which draws thousands of applicants annually, the selection process commences for a limited number of seats at one of India’s most prestigious management institutes. Although passing the examination is an important achievement, it is only the initial phase of the rigorous selection process. Additionally, candidates are required to undergo numerous evaluations prior to being admitted.

It is essential for candidates to comprehend the post-exam selection process following IPMAT Rohtak, as it enables them to prepare more effectively and enhance their chances of selection. The process entails a Personal Interview (PI), shortlisting based on the exam score, and final merit determination based on a variety of criteria.

Rohtak Selection Process Following IPMAT 

Stage I: Online Registration for IPMAT Rohtak

  • Applicants who satisfy the eligibility requirements are required to submit an online registration form.
  • The applicant’s academic proficiency and extracurricular accomplishments are assessed by the form.
  • A registration fee of Rs. 4500/- is mandatory and non-refundable.
  • Dates of Registration:
    • Opening date: February 6, 2025 
    • Closing date: April 11, 2024 

Stage II: Rohtak Entrance Exam for IPMAT

  • The IPM Aptitude Test, which evaluates English proficiency, logical reasoning, and aptitude, is mandatory for all registered applicants.
  • Exam Date: May 5, 2024 
  • Structure of the Examination:
    • Quantitative Proficiency: 40 Questions – 40 Minutes
    • 40 Questions – 40 Minutes: Logical Reasoning
    • Verbal Proficiency: 40 Questions – 40 Minutes
    • Four marks are awarded for each correct response, while one mark is deducted for each incorrect response.
    • The format of multiple-choice questions (MCQs).
  • For IPL Candidates: An additional Legal Reasoning section with 20 questions (20 minutes duration) will be included for those who choose the Integrated Programme in Law (IPL) option.

Stage III: Personal Interview for IPMAT Rohtak

  • Candidates are selected on the basis of their IPM AT 2025 score and the minimum eligibility criteria.
  • Personal Interviews Requested: tentatively scheduled for the first week of June 2025
  • The academics, general awareness, and communication skills of the candidates who have been shortlisted will be assessed.
  • Interview Dates: June 2, 2025 (Probable)

Stage IV: Rohtak Merit List for IPMAT 

  • The final merit list is generated by:
    • Score for IPM AT 2025
    • Prior academic accomplishments
    • Score of Personal Interview
  • An announcement regarding the merit list is anticipated for the first week of July 2025.
  • Merit/rank and seat availability in each category are the determining factors for admission offers, as stipulated by government reservation regulations.

Stage V: Provisional Admission for IPMAT Rohtak

  • A provisional offer letter is sent to the selected candidates via email.
  • In order to verify their admission, candidates must:
    • Accept the offer and submit Rs. 1,00,000/- as the Offer Acceptance Amount (OAA).
    • OAA will be adjusted in accordance with the First Year Programme Fee.
    • Seat cancellation occurs when the initial installment of the program fee is not paid by the specified deadline.
  • Fee Structure: Available on the institute’s website.

IPMAT Rohtak Reporting & Final Admissions: Stage VI

  • Candidates who have accepted the offer are required to physically report to the institute for document verification and registration.
  • Commencement of the session is anticipated to occur during the first week of August 2025.
  • Special arrangements are made for DAP category candidates, who are accommodated in hostels on a sharing basis.

Highlights of the IPMAT Rohtak Program
The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Rohtak provides a smooth transition from undergraduate (UG) to postgraduate (PG) management education.

  • Dual Degree Awarded: Students who successfully complete the entire five-year program at IIM Rohtak are granted both a BBA and an MBA.
  • Direct MBA Admission: On completion of the initial three years (BBA), students are automatically admitted to the two-year MBA program, provided that they satisfy the academic prerequisites. There is no requirement to take the CAT or any other entrance exam.
  • An early exit option is available to students who wish to depart after three years with a BBA degree.
  • Program Structure: The program is divided into 15 terms, each of which is three months long and occurs three times per year. The initial phase encompasses fundamental subjects, while the subsequent phase concentrates on management studies.
  • Internship Opportunities: At the conclusion of each academic year, students are required to complete internships.

In addition to the aforementioned, the mess fee will be Rs. 48000/- per year. Additionally, students will be obligated to pay the Placement Facility Charges of Rs. 40,000/- and the Development Charge of Rs. 10,000/- on an annual basis. The students will also be responsible for the payment of the Alumni Membership fee of Rs. 6500/- and the Caution money (refundable) of Rs. 10,000/-.
